South Bay Gaming Club Tabletop wargaming

About the club

A South Bay home for tabletop wargaming.

The South Bay Gaming Club has been bringing local miniature gamers together for years — one big game day a month where the terrain comes out, armies square off, and nobody minds explaining the rules one more time.

We’re a mix of grizzled veterans and brand-new painters. Some come to play in a campaign, some to get a single pickup game, and some just to hang out and talk about the hobby. Whatever brings you in, you’ll find a friendly table.

How a game day works

Show up, set up, play.

Doors at 9:30

We meet on the Saturday at the end of the first full week of each month. Arrive any time after doors — help set up terrain or just grab a coffee.

Find a game

Pre-arrange a match on the group, or turn up and pair off on the day. New to a system? Someone will walk you through your first game.

Play till five

Big battles, quick skirmishes, or a casual learning game — we wrap up around 5pm, pack down together, and set the next date.

Where we meet

Two halls, alternating months.

Game Kastle, Santa Clara

A dedicated game store with great tables and space to spread out. Santa Clara — easy freeway access and plenty of parking.

1350 Coleman Ave, Santa Clara, CA 95050

New Almaden Community Club, San Jose

A relaxed community hall in historic New Almaden, nestled in the foothills of San Jose — room for big multiplayer games and a potluck table.

21727 Bertram Rd, San Jose, CA 95120

We alternate between the venues each month — the next game day’s venue is always shown on the home page and the schedule.
